Messages go to the contact on the pupil record over WhatsApp or SMS. Fee reminders, absence notices and school announcements are separate categories, and a parent can opt out of announcements without opting out of anything about their own child.
- Every message is logged against the pupil, so "we were never told" has an answer.
- Failed deliveries surface as a list to fix, not a silent count.
- Bulk announcements need a second approval. One wrong bulk send is a long week for the office.
