Pupil records come in from a spreadsheet. Three fields cause almost all of the rework, so get them right before you upload rather than fixing them afterwards.
- The paying contact. Not always a parent, and often not the person who collects the child. Fees follow this field.
- The mobile number that receives messages. One per pupil, with a second as backup. Wrong numbers here are why parents say they were never told.
- Date of birth. Used for class progression and reporting, and awkward to correct once results are attached.
